Privacy Policy.
I take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data I process when you visit awalanche.studio, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting & server log files
This site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany). When you access the site, the hosting provider automatically collects and stores server log files that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption (https) to protect the transmission of your data.
4. Contact form
If you use the contact form (powered by Contact Form 7), the data you enter — name, email address, subject and message — is transmitted to me by email so I can respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or the initiation of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). I keep this data until your request has been fully dealt with; you may ask for its deletion at any time.
5. Google reCAPTCHA
To protect the contact form against spam and abuse, I use Google reCAPTCHA (v3), a service of Google Ireland Ltd. reCAPTCHA analyses signals in the background (e.g. IP address, interaction behaviour) to distinguish humans from bots. This data is transmitted to Google. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). More information: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Web analytics (Google Analytics / Site Kit)
This site uses Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit), a service of Google Ireland Ltd., to understand how visitors use the site. Cookies and similar technologies collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location (IP address, shortened where supported), device and browser information. This processing takes place only on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Data may be transferred to Google servers, including in the USA. 7. Fonts
This site displays the typefaces "IBM Plex Mono" and "Cormorant Garamond". These fonts are hosted locally on my own server and are not loaded from Google Fonts or any other third party — no font request transmits your IP address to an external provider.
8. Cookies & caching
I use cookies and a caching layer (LiteSpeed Cache) to operate and speed up the site. Technically necessary cookies are set on the basis of my legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); cookies that are not strictly necessary (e.g. analytics) are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw via the consent notice. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise these rights, contact me at info@awalanche.studio.
10. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this privacy policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The current version always applies.
